Going down the street and running into a renowned actor (or a celebrity like Kim Kardashian) may be common in cities like Los Angeles or New York, but the chances of that happening in a city like Barcelona disappear. Knowing that everything is possible in this life, about 13 years ago (or a little more), a renowned actor nominated several times for the Goya Awards and star in several Hollywood films stopped me in the heart of the Tres Torres neighborhood to ask me about my perfume… To this day, this fragrance continues being one of my favorites.
Guerlain and how Jordi Mollà stopped me in the middle of the street
The maison Guerlain has an extensive collection of unique scents that go beyond the conventional. Knowing this, that day in early spring, I decided to opt for (like many other mornings) his perfume called Insolence. Intense violet in color, this fragrance created by Maurice Roucel and Sylvaine Delacourte had such a peculiar smell that it left no one indifferent (literally).

I was walking down a lonely street in the Tres Torres neighborhood when a tall, corpulent man stopped me to ask me what I smelled like. I remember looking at his shoes (tired UGG boots), then at his long coat, and later looking into his eyes. I automatically knew that it was the Spanish actor Jordi Mollà and I got so nervous that I didn’t know what to answer him.
Kindly insisting that I remember the perfume (since according to the actor’s words “it was very nice”), I remembered it: Insolence!. The actor repeated the name several times and just as he arrived, he calmly left. It is a perfume with notes of raspberry, red berries, bergamot, lemon, violet, rose, orange blossom, iris, tonka bean, resins, musk and sandalwood.
Since then, this perfume has become one of the most special in my dresser (and not just because of the anecdote). Wherever I go, there is always someone who is interested in him. With a strong and peculiar aroma, few drops are needed for the fragrance to remain impregnated in our body all day.
