The Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series thus surpassed the current record holder, Lamborghini Aventador SVJ by more than a second. At the same time, Mercedes also boasted the time of the whole lap, including the finish line and the T13 section, which usually does not count. “It was a really impressive ride. With speeds of up to almost 270 km / h in the Kesselchen section or more than 300 km / h on the long Döttinger Höhe plain, the AMG GT Black Series is significantly faster than my GT3 race car, ” says Maro Engel. By the way, during a record drive, Engel appreciated the wide range of vehicle settings, which allowed him to adapt exactly to his requirements.
