The perpetrators of the murder of women in sacks in Bungo, Jambi, was arrested by the police. The perpetrator, who is none other than the victim’s brother, was arrested while hiding in a plantation area in Merangin, Jambi.

“The perpetrators while hiding there tried to work in the residents’ gardens so they wouldn’t be caught. However, from the evidence and clues we found, we arrested the perpetrators after conducting surveillance for days in the Jangkat area, Merangin,” said Bungo Police Chief AKBP Guntur Saputro, Saturday ( 26/2/2022).

The perpetrator, named Ridwan, had the heart to kill his younger brother because he was hurt. In addition to frequent quarrels with the victim, the perpetrator is embarrassed because the victim often changes men.

“So this victim is named Intan Sari. The status of this victim is also a widow, yes. From the confession of the perpetrator, this victim often changed men so that she was embarrassed. Then the victim and the perpetrator also often quarreled and finally the perpetrator killed the victim because of hurt, ” said Guntur.

During a press conference, the police were seen showing the face of the murderer. According to the police, the perpetrator was 58 years old.

The suspect also fell to his knees when he was caught by the police. The perpetrator was wearing prison clothes. The perpetrator’s face was covered by a mask with handcuffs.

“We have secured some evidence, including sacks, then there are sharp weapons,” explained Guntur.

Previously reported, residents in Jujuhan Village, Bungo Regency, Jambi, stirred by the discovery of a woman’s corpse dumped in the swamp. The woman’s corpse, in a decomposed condition, was also wrapped in sacks and buried in swamp mud.

The woman’s body found on Sunday afternoon (20/2) was later evacuated by the police and an autopsy was performed at the hospital.
