This is how you follow the virtual Grand Prix of China tonight

On Sunday, the Esports Virtual Grand Prix series of Formula 1 continues with the third round of the ‘championship’, this time in virtual China. Tonight, current Formula 1 drivers will participate again, as well as a football player and drivers from other racing classes.

The virtual race will start tonight at 7:00 PM Dutch time. The series has been revived to bridge this Formula 1-less period. More and more F1 drivers are following the trend of sim racing, for example Carlos Sainz will make his debut on the virtual grid on Sunday. He is joined by teammate Lando Norris, which completes the McLaren team. Williams also appears on the grid with a full team, namely with drivers George Russell and Nicholas Latifi. The following drivers have been confirmed for the Chinese Virtual Grand Prix on Sunday:

Mercedes: Stoffel Vandoorne & Esteban Gutierrez

Ferrari: Charles Leclerc & Callum Ilott

Red Bull: Alexander Albon & Thibaut Courtois

McLaren: Carlos Sainz & Lando Norris

Renault: Guanyu Zhou & Ian Poulter

AlphaTauri: Liam Lawson & Ciro Immobile

Racing Point: Anthony Davidson & Jimmy Broadbent

Alfa Romeo: Antonio Giovinazzi & Juan Manuel Correa

Hare: Pietro Fittipaldi & Louis Deletraz

Williams: George Russell & Nicholas Latifi

As always, the event will feature a qualifying session followed by a 28-lap half-distance race. The F1 2019 game is used to drive the Grand Prix and as mentioned tonight, the Shanghai International Circuit will serve as the backdrop for the Chinese Virtual GP. Sunday marks the day that the actual Chinese GP would actually be held, but it was already postponed as the first race of the 2020 season.
