OxygenOS 11 update available soon for OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro

OnePlus is gearing up for the launch of the OnePlus 8T on October 14. And that’s not the only thing to look forward to. Users of the OnePlus 8 in OnePlus 8 Pro can look forward to the arrival of OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11.

The main development of Oxygen OS 11 is the new visual design of the user environment. With a fresh new look, which is easier to operate with one hand, the system interface is a lot more user-friendly for devices with a large screen.

In addition, there are also other (smaller) novelties: the dark mode has been upgraded and work has been done on it Game Space. With this function it is possible not to be disturbed while gaming or watching a movie.

It is also possible to set the Always-on screen function with OxygenOS 11. This feature allows you to see what notifications you have without unlocking your phone.

The update is likely to be rolled out to all users of the Oneplus 8 series in the coming week. OnePlus says that OxygenOS 11 will also be available for the OnePlus 7T Pro, OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7, OnePlus 6T, OnePlus 6 in OnePlus North.

How do I download the OxygenOS 11 update?

There are two ways to install the software. With one step-by-step plan, your device is not deleted, but with the other it is. With the step-by-step plan below you will not lose data, but one back-up maken is of course always a good plan.

Make sure the battery is more than 30 percent charged and that there is more than 3GB of free storage space.

  1. Download the correct software upgrade as a .zip file;
