As part of this, NYC & Company President and CEO Fred Dixon joined Mayor Bill de Blasio and Chef Daniel Boulud to announce a marketing campaign -of the largest in the history of the city- of US $ 30 million.

Optimistic projections

This announcement is made in a context in which NYC & Company projects that New York City will receive 36.4 million visitors in 2021.

This figure implies a recovery of just over 50 percent of the 2019 record 66.6 million visitors. And it would be a great advance compared to 2020, when it added 22.3 million.

The projections are optimistic not just for 2021. In 2024, the city is expected to surpass its record with 69.3 million visitors.
