This is how the weapons in Cyberpunk 2077 will be

As promised held CD Project RED en ny Night City Wire-episode Monday night Norwegian time, and even more aspects of Cyberpunk 2077 were duly highlighted. You can see the whole episode at the top of the article.

This time, much of the time was devoted to telling about the weapons in the game. The video leaves little doubt that Cyberpunk 2077 boasts a solid number of weapon categories that include not only firearms, but also many different melee weapons.

When it comes to firearms, the game operates with three main categories. “Power” weapons are similar to conventional weapons, but with the property that they can “bounce” bullets on surfaces, so that you can hit enemies that are in cover, for example.

Many modifications

“Tech” weapons, on the other hand, use electromagnetic technology to fire projectiles with enormous force, and these can, among other things, punch holes in walls. “Smart” weapons are capable of tracking enemies in real time and can fire projectiles that follow enemies.

All the different types of weapons are demonstrated in the video.

Otherwise, the developer states that they have worked hard to combine the first-person shooter aspect of the game with role-playing elements. One of the ways this happens is that the game character’s weapon skills gradually improve throughout the game, including charging times, precision and how easily you move with a raised weapon.

Players are also given many weapon modifications to experiment with, and these include both hardware and software modifications. The latter are small pieces that are installed in the weapons and that can increase precision and firing rate, or give the weapons other types of ammunition – for example chemical ammunition adapted to specific types of armor.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on November 19th.
