P!nk was a guest at an exhibition of ‘@rt by chimps’, an organization that makes art made by chimpanzees. The singer was curious about the work, as she finds it encouraging that animals experience painting as a therapeutic. The exhibition organizer told ‘Page Six’.
During the exhibition, the singer would have felt particularly drawn to the work ‘Art by Patty & Kramer’, a painting on black canvas with shades of blue, white and, of course, pink. “It’s a masterpiece,” the singer said. A masterpiece for which she paid no less than 5,000 dollars (4,750 euros). The purchase will benefit the chimpanzee sanctuary at Fort Pierce. There live 226 monkeys that have been rescued from laboratories.
