JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The rise of fraud cases online loan (pinjol) illegal in recent years has made the public uneasy. Many of the people who receive unethical treatment and are harmed by illegal lending.

Therefore, it is very important for the public to know the services legal online loan or registered and supervised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

Online loans or what is known as fintech lending/peer-to-peer lending itself is the provision of financial services.

The number of legal borrowing companies in March 2022 decreased by 1 name from the previous 103 companies. The legal lending company whose license was revoked by the OJK is Money Friends. The Pinjol Uang Teman company is run by PT Digital Alpha Indonesia.

With the reduction in legal lending companies, OJK reminds the public to stay away from illegal companies so they don’t become victims.

3,889 illegal loans have been blocked by OJK

From 2018 to March 2022, the OJK Investment Alert Task Force has closed a total of 3,889 illegal loans.

The Investment Alert Task Force encourages law enforcement to the perpetrators illegal online loans This is by continuously blocking sites and applications from being accessed by the public.

It is also hoped that the action by the Investment Alert Task Force will further increase arrests and legal action by the Police, thereby narrowing the scope of the movement for offering illegal investments and illegal online loans.
