JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Minister Tourist and the Creative Economy/Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno regrets that illegal parking charges a bus fare of IDR 350,000 for 2.5 hours in Malioboro Yogyakarta. The viral video related to the parking fee is considered tarnishing tourist in Yogyakarta.
“Regarding parking rates in Malioboro, we immediately consulted with related parties to minimize this. We have to be firm in conveying that this has a negative impact on the tourism sector and the creative economy, especially in Yogyakarta,” said Sandiaga in the Weekly Press Briefing, Tuesday (24/1/2022).
For this reason, he revealed that there are three parking locations in Yogyakarta whose rates are in accordance with local government regulations, namely, the Senopati Malioboro parking area, the Ngabean parking lot, and the Abu Bakar Ali.
“The DIY government has provided 3 special parking lots for tourism buses, and this officially sets the tariff according to government regulations,” he added.

In addition, he also appealed to locations that want to be used as parking lots, of course, must apply for a permit first.
“Those who want the location to be used as a parking lot must apply for a permit first, so that rates and services can be monitored properly, and in the future if it can become an electronic parking lot,” he asserted.
