For many BMW fans, the first M3 is something like the Holy Grail. So it’s no wonder it sells for big money.

However, the amount that someone drew for a red specimen, which you can see in the gallery, still surprised us quite a bit. The piece from 1988 is sold in the American internet auction for $ 250,000, which is about 5.7 million crowns.
If we put this amount into Czech realities, you can buy a new BMW M8 Coupé for this money, which starts at CZK 4,110,600. So you would have something left – for another car, for example. According to the current price list, such a BMW M2 Competition costs CZK 1,691,300. You would exceed that 5.7 million by only about 100,000.

The sharp version of the E30 generation has the status of a legend, and deservedly so. The first BMW M3 was produced between 1986 and 1991, and although it had “only” a four-cylinder under the hood, it regularly appears in various selections focused on the most driving cars of all time.
“Our” piece is interesting for its excellent and original condition, perfectly mapped history and low range, since 1988 it has covered only some 12,875 kilometers. In April of this year, the car also received a relatively extensive service.
Under the hood is a 2.3-liter four-cylinder with an output of 143 kW, which is connected to a five-speed manual transmission.
