They will not require a vaccination card to enter churches and health centers

The Ministry of Public Health reported on Tuesday that public and private health centers and churches are exempt from requiring a vaccination card or negative PCR test.

The Dominican Republic began on Monday, October 18, to request the inoculation document with two doses to the entire population over 12 years of age to be able to attend in person at work centers, public and private educational centers at all levels, as well as places of public use.

After the lifting of the state of emergency, the measure was established through resolution 000048, which confirmed the epidemic in the Dominican territory, issued by Public Health.

In the case of those over 12 years of age who do not have the two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, they must present a negative PCR test for a maximum of seven days. This provision will cease to be applicable after the person passes 14 days after receiving the coronavirus vaccine.

While people who for medical reasons cannot receive the vaccine, the Public Health authorities may grant special permission, according to the resolution.

Forgery of the vaccination card

The Ministry of Public Health warned that the falsification of the vaccination card will lead to judicial submission and reported that businesses that detect a possible false card must report it to the authorities for investigation purposes.

The Minister of Health, Daniel Rivera, reiterated the call to people who have not been vaccinated to attend the centers authorized nationwide.

Likewise, all officials were instructed to monitor compliance with the measures ordered.
