After 30 years of sailing on the Carnival Ecstasy, a 1934 Rolls Royce car has been unloaded from the ship to be installed on another Carnival cruise ship that is under construction.

The Saloon model car will be installed on the Carnival Celebration which is currently being built at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland.

The car that thousands of Carnival passengers have admired and taken pictures of over the years will soon find a new home next to The Gateway, a two-deck area aboard Carnival Celebration that celebrates travel and the excitement of exploring new destinations. .

The Gateway area includes The Golden Jubilee, a bar that highlights the evolution of Carnival’s ships over the past 50 years. The bar will feature memorabilia and original pieces from several of Carnival’s past ships, so the Rolls Royce will add to the nostalgia.

Carnival recalled that the designer of Carnival Ecstasy searched all over the UK to find the perfect car to fit into the outer space of the Rolls Royce Café. In this form, the vehicle was purchased from a small vintage car dealer in the hills of North Wales.

The line explained that the transfer of the vehicle is due to the fact that the Carnival Ecstasy is finishing its last navigation season and will be withdrawn in October.

Carnival Celebration, the second of Carnival Cruise Line’s new liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered ships, will begin operations in early November with a 14-day transatlantic voyage from London (Southampton) to its homeport of PortMiami. His arrival will continue Carnival Cruise Line’s 50th birthday celebration.
