They threatened the president of Atlanta

The sad never ending story. The definition of the First National is in suspense and in the middle of the decisions today an unfortunate event occurred: Atlanta President Gabriel Greco was threatened through his father, who received an intimidating letter.

Greco’s father, who is in his 80s, was left with a handwritten paper urging his son to ask “Atlanta’s rise to A”. The second paragraph, even more regrettable, reads: “In this way we would avoid a loss on your property”. The image of the writing was spread by the site Ascent World.

The Atlanta Board of Directors issued a statement to condemn such regrettable acts. Says the following:

“The Board of Directors of the Atlanta Athletic Club stands in solidarity with President Gabriel Greco in this difficult moment that he has to go through in the face of threats received by his parents. We repudiate violence in any of its forms and call on the mass of society, fans and supporters , to become aware that pushing together in the same direction is the way to grow, whatever our way of thinking, because we also grow in dissent.

Differences of opinion cannot be expressed in acts of cowardice that threaten our families, the debate must take place from respect and tolerance.

The bohemian people know very well what it is like to go through difficult times: declines, bankruptcy, years of disappointment that today are left behind because we are looking at the horizon with different eyes. The eyes that saw our Club grow in recent years, those that saw the rise and today enjoy a different reality.

We live the best moment of the Club in many decades. Let us not let the achievements of members, fans, players and leaders be overshadowed by a few intolerant people who know nothing about building the Club we all crave “.
