They support with scholarships and food to mothers who attend open high school

They delivered food supports, school packages and scholarships for mothers of the open high school, through the Municipal Institute of Zacatecan Women for Equality (Inmuzai), in coordination with the Secretariat for Women and the Secretary of Education of the State Government.

The foregoing with the aim of generating better conditions of equality, in addition to the attention and eradication of different types of gender violence in the municipality of Zacatecas, headed by Ulises Mejía Haro.

It was at the facilities of the Municipal Presidency where a symbolic delivery of the support was made, concluding with a training conference so that they can access the application of the online education platform, thus facilitating the necessary tools for their participation.

Ana Emilia Pesci Martínez, director of Inmuzai, stressed that since the beginning of his administration Ulises Mejía has promoted important initiatives such as the Safe Woman patrol, the Purple Mouth Cover and Purple Rooms or Pink Rooms strategy.

He also pointed out policies of prevention of child sexual abuse, that are promoted to provide support to all women in matters of economic, patrimonial, social, psychological advice, legal support and more.

Rocío Martínez Muñoz, representing the head of Semujer, Adriana Rivero Garza, indicated that these actions have been promoted through the Profimmez program, established in 2018 with transversal public policies.

Explained that 2 pesos are invested for every peso that municipalities invest to generate support, highlighting that the objective is to continue working together to provide support and generate actions to prevent violence and social equality.

Ulises Mejía indicated that prioritize equality between women and men, to continue promoting initiatives towards a more inclusive municipality with participation schemes and transversal policies.

“The Zacatecas city council has taken action in all areas in terms of gender perspective,” he commented. He added that together with a great team, he will continue to work in this regard for a life free of violence for girls and women in the capital. .
