They skimp – despite a record year

The health insurers earned CHF 100 billion last year. However, the insured hardly benefit from this.

The stock market boom brings little to federal employees: the pension fund pays interest on its retirement capital at only 1.25 percent.

Christoph Ryter is the owner of over CHF 26 billion. All the money belongs to him
80,000 people insured with the Migros Pension Fund. This has just had a record year. The return of 11.9% is the best in this century. Nevertheless, Ryter remains cautious: “We shouldn’t be too euphoric now.” The result is “gratifying”, again the Migros-PK is in the top group. Nevertheless, Ryter says: “Because of a good year, the picture does not change fundamentally for us.”
