The legal representative of the company who denounced an alleged extortion of the owner of the Conade, Ana Gabriela Guevara, and other members of his team, was attacked with shots in the metropolitan area of Veracruz-Boca del Río.
The events occurred this afternoon on Manuel Ávila Camacho Boulevard, at the height of the luxurious Costa de Oro subdivision, where the lawyer, along with other companions, was attacked with gunshots while traveling in an armored BMW vehicle.
The legal representative of the company Cocinas Industriales Multifuncionales de Calidad S.A. de C.V. (CIMSA), Rafael Sánchez Caño, reported that there were five units with armed subjects who chased and attacked them through different streets in that tourist area.
“We were coming in the car and some people in a Nissan truck were looking at us, we recognized one of them and we went to chase her,” he said, without revealing who that person was.
The lawyer claimed that five vehicles overtook them and attacked them with heavy-caliber weapons.
Meanwhile, police reports indicate that as a result of the shooting and persecution, two vehicles with bullet wounds were secured in the area, a Jetta and a Bmw, while there were other units with damage from the shooting.
Witnesses noted that the attackers fled in three trucks to the center of the port of Veracruz.
Sánchez Cano and businessman Jesús Chaín denounced a couple of weeks ago that the director of the National Sports Commission (Conade), Ana Gabriela Guevara, requested “moches” for assigning a contract of 16.5 million pesos.
And they said in criminal complaints that the Conade also simulated the tender to assign the “Food Supply Contract for Athletes and Trainers”, which would be valid from July to December of the year 2019.
CIMSA “won” the service with the number AA-011L6I001-E51-2019, effective from August 14, 2019 to December 31, 2019.
The request of the “moches” – according to the criminal complaint – was made at the Los Naranjos restaurant of the Sevilla Palace Hotel in July 2019 between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., up to where Guevara, Sergio Monroy, deputy director of the Conade, Omar Hernández, official of the agency and the operator Armida Ramírez Corral.
