They search for suspect of hitting a woman with a car in the Bronx – Telemundo New York (47)

NEW YORK – Authorities are searching for the driver allegedly responsible for hitting a woman while crossing a street in the Bronx and then fleeing the scene.

The NYPD released surveillance video showing the timing of the incident.

According to the police report, the accident happened on December 7, at about 6:10 pm, at the intersection of Burnside Avenue and Jerome Avenue, in the Morris Heights neighborhood, when the 48-year-old woman was crossing the street.

It was at this point that the driver, of a dark Dodge Caliber, allegedly made a right and rammed the woman who ended up on the pavement. The driver would have continued driving and ran over the woman.

The victim suffered severe trauma to her leg and was transported in stable condition to Saint Barnabas Hospital.

The vehicle being searched is described as a dark colored Dodge Caliber sedan with tinted windows, black wheels, a dent in the front passenger side fender, with small stickers located on the upper right and left of the rear windshield and on the passenger side window.
