They say goodbye to Luis Miranda Cardoso, father of Luis Miranda Nava

Toluca.- The funeral of the former magistrate Luis Miranda Cardoso placeholder image They arrived this morning at the Mausoleum of Toluca, where only the closest relatives and some of friends were there.

The former head of the Ministry of Social Development in the past administration, Luis Miranda Nava, and his brothers were accompanied by few people, and before the expected arrival of the former president Enrique Peña Nieto or one of his former collaborators, this did not happen.

Around 09:30 a.m., the presiding magistrate of the Superior Court of Justice in the State of Mexico, Ricardo Sodi Cuellar, and his wife Jaqueline Zapfe arrived. Aboard a white Suburban, they were the first to attend to offer their condolences. Later, the Secretary General of the Government of the State of Mexico, Alejandro Ozuna, and the Secretary of Economic Development, Enrique Jacob Rocha arrived.

Later, due to the restricted access, other relatives and close friends arrived; The vehicles could only pass to the parking lot and directly to the room where the present body mass would be held.

Luis Miranda arrived in a black Suburban pickup, as a co-pilot. Dressed in a dark suit, white shirt, and black tie, he watched the photographers rush to the window.

Minutes later a hearse arrived, a black Rolls Royce. In it they transferred the coffin of Miranda Cardoso to the municipal cemetery of Toluca.

Dozens of wreaths with white flowers continued to arrive at the place to express condolences to the mourners. Pickup trucks, taxis, and private vehicles came in to unload them; some only with isolated names “Paty and Memo”, and others with more elaborate phrases.

At 10:00 am the present body mass was held and after an hour the attendees began to leave.

Before noon, the former president of the Superior Court of Justice of Mexico, Sergio Medina Peñaloza, arrived, who demanded justice for the murder of the former judge and more security for the magistrates of the state and the entire country.

Minutes later, the attendees went to the pantheon where the judge’s body was buried. His grandchildren, sons, daughters and closest friends said goodbye at the foot of the grave.
