Malina, 31, is the dead woman found in a hotel room in Leipzig, according to news24sofia.eu.
Malina is from the city of Lukovit. She went to Leipzig, Germany a year ago with her older sister. Malina was engaged in prostitution.
The criminal incident occurred on Tuesday evening and on Friday, police announced that they had arrested 42-year-old German Dani M. from Wittenberg, a suspect in her murder.
The 31-year-old woman’s body will still be examined to determine the cause of her death.
His body was found by the hotel manager after he never left the room all day.
The maids heard that the toilet water was running and no one was stopping it and they notified the manager. The woman was found on the floor of the room covered in blood.
The detained man and the victim had known each other for some time and were in a relationship. The suspect booked a hotel room in Leipzig to meet his girlfriend there.
The motive for the murder is not yet clear. The police are investigating whether it was a crime of love or prostitution.
Malina’s mother currently lives in her hometown i.e. Lukovit, her name is Kunka.
Malina was quite famous in the Roma neighborhood of Lukovit for having various love affairs with men, and she got married some time ago, but after a few months she divorced.
Western media write that the investigators still don’t know if Danny M. convinced the girl to call or if the two communicated on another level. In her Facebook posts late last week, the suspect repeatedly sent Malina love greetings and asked her to marry him. It is not yet possible to verify whether the woman is his victim.
