The incident happened last week on Friday around 8 p.m. Police were called to the scene by a witness who noticed visibly drunk parents on a bench with a baby in a pram.
–
“Police officers conducted a breath test on both parents and found that their mother had 2.8 and the father 4.2 per mille of alcohol,” police spokesman Jan Danek said on Thursday.
–
The woman scolded the man for being drunk, and she also wanted to leave, the police preventing her from doing so.
–
“Because they could not take care of the two-month-old girl enough in this condition, paramedics had to come for her and take her to the hospital,” the spokesman said.
–
The child’s mother also ended up in the hospital and the father traveled to the police department to explain the situation.
–
“The body of social and legal protection of children was informed about the whole matter, in whose competence it will now solve the situation,” Daněk added.
