They hold ministerial police officers in the High Mountain of Guerrero – United

Chilpancingo, Gro. Three people, including two agents of the State Ministerial Police, are being held and imprisoned by Tu’un Savi indigenous (Mixtecos) at the Alacatlatzala community police station, municipality of Malinaltepec, located in the High Mountain of Guerrero.

Among those arrested are Commander Huarachuri Salinas Gaspar and Agent Sergio Victoria, stationed at the Regional Prosecutor General’s Office in Tlapa; the identity of the other person is not known.

Yesterday, the lawyers of the Human Rights Center of the Tlachinollan Mountain, Aarón Díaz and Rubén Darío Silva, moved to Alacatlatzala, in order to achieve the release of the detainees.

The indigenous people of the place informed Tlachinollan that the agents went to make rounds around the area –where in the last few weeks there have been shootings between two groups of peasants due to the ongoing agrarian conflicts– “the problem was that they were traveling in a van that it did not have logos of the corporation, reason why the community proceeded to retain them and to jail them in the police station ”.

The town authorities requested the presence of the regional prosecutor, but it was not until this morning that a commission of officials led by Jorge Rodríguez Ponce, delegate of state government in the Montaña, arrived to negotiate with the indigenous people.

Another version of what happened is that on Friday night, the people of Alacatlazala realized that armed people had installed a checkpoint, without having informed the community authorities, so they withheld them.
