    The newspaper writes that the detained 32-year-old Syrian citizen, who is the main suspect, admitted during interrogation that he killed Russians and buried the bodies of women in the garden of a house in the mountain village of Moniatis in Limassol province, where he was engaged. with construction activity.

    Earlier, traces of blood matching the DNA of one of the women were found in this house and in the excavator used in the construction. Authorities say a double murder case has been filed.

    Police in Cyprus said this morning that authorities detained a 23-year-old man who is the second suspect in the case, as well as a 45-year-old driver of the car he was traveling in on Saturday.

    On November 25, Cypriot police asked the population for help in finding two Russian women for whom no information has been available since November 17, and published photos of the missing. According to the Cypriot authorities, the women’s names are Hayat Al-Raisi and Maria Gazibagandova. The first is 43 years old and the second is 33. On November 17, the two women disappeared from an apartment in a house on the coast of Larnaca, not far from Mackenzie Beach, where they had settled. The Russians arrived on the island as tourists, one a month and a half ago and the other in early summer.
