NEW YORK – New York City sheriffs dismantled an illegal party with more than 305 people inside an unlicensed bar in Queens.
The bailiffs arrived at the place, located at 35-16 de Junction Blvd, at about 2:25 a.m. Sunday, after observing that two men allegedly let small groups of 5 to 15 people into the basement of the bar / restaurant through two separate entrances.
Upon entering, officers found more than 305 people inside the bar, which has no license, and a DJ in a booth. The event broke Governor Andrew Cuomo’s executive order prohibiting mass gatherings, and they were not following biosecurity standards to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The business, a DJ and several other clients were fined for a variety of crimes.
