(CNN Spanish) – The Ministry of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare of the government of Spain confirmed through its official Twitter account a case of coronavirus detected in that country.
The patient who was diagnosed was under observation because he had been in contact, in Germany, with an infected person.
The statement does not inform about the nationality of the patient, who is admitted and isolated in a hospital in La Gomela, Canary Islands, where days ago they took samples that were sent to the National Center for Microbiology of the Carlos III Health Institute in Madrid.
