Despite the increasing number of infections, the federal and state governments have agreed to loosen the corona rules a little nationwide. In Hesse, the new rules will come into force on Monday and will initially apply until March 28th. An overview:

Private To meet

Up until now, a household was only allowed to meet one other person in public. As of Monday, a maximum of five people from two households may come together outside of their own home, not including children up to the age of 14.

For private gatherings in your own four walls or in your own garden, these contact rules are an urgent recommendation.

shopping

Hardware stores, garden centers, tree nurseries and bookshops are now allowed to reopen. The number of customers in these stores is limited to one customer per 10 square meters for the first 800 square meters of retail space. If the area is larger, an additional customer is allowed for every 20 additional square meters.

Hairdressers have been able to open again since March 1st. Grocery stores or drug stores are open anyway.

It was already possible to order and collect from the other retailers. From Monday onwards, retailers can offer what is known as “click-and-meet”: one customer per 40 square meters of sales area can shop within a certain period of time after registering.

Amateur and recreationalSport

Amateur and recreational sports are possible in accordance with the extended contact rules – i.e. with up to two households with a maximum of five people. Children up to and including 14 years of age are allowed to play outdoor sports in groups. Sports facilities can still be opened on site.

In fitness studios – with appropriate hygiene precautions – you can train with individual appointments. Only one person is allowed per 40 square meters of training area. The personal data must be recorded.

Culture and free time

Museums, castles, memorials, animal parks, zoos and botanical gardens are allowed to open with a comprehensive hygiene concept. An appointment is necessary. Personal data must be stored in order to be able to track contacts.

Services in the field personal hygiene

Service companies in the field of body care such as cosmetic salons and foot care are allowed to open under strict conditions. This includes making appointments and recording contact data.

If a mask cannot be worn continuously during treatment, a daily quick test should be available or a self-test should be carried out on site.

More Tests

At the expense of the federal government, everyone from Hesse should be able to take a free quick test once a week at recognized test centers from Monday – even if they have no symptoms. According to the state government, the providers – doctors, pharmacists or centers – settle accounts directly with the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians.

As Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) restricted on Friday, the tests will not be offered consistently in all federal states from Monday. However, many started the new week.

quarantine

After a positive self-test, the person tested must immediately go into quarantine and also do a PCR test.

Entrants from virus variant areas must go into a 14-day quarantine. A shortening by a negative corona test is not possible. The guidelines also apply to vaccinated people.
