2020 was THE year for social media. There have never been so many active users – on Instagram there are over a billion per month! And as different as the individual people tick on one thing, many agreed: With several million likes, these posts made it into the top ten.

10. LeBron James
After the unexpected death of basketball icon Kobe Bryant earlier this year, best friend and LA Laker colleague LeBron James paid tribute to his best friend on Instagram. “My heart is broken and I am devastated, my brother,” he wrote. “In my heart I am with Vanessa and the children. You mean so much to us.”

Released in April 2019, the sustainable clothing brand Tentree continues to make its contribution to the planet thanks to this photo. When the photo reached 5 million likes, the fire promised to plant half a million trees to say thank you.

Little Stormi is definitely the youngest person who has ever received 18.5 million likes for a photo.
Although Mama Kylie’s post is already over two years old, he is still busy collecting likes and will probably stay with us in the top ten of the year for some time to come.
4. Chadwick Boseman
When Chadwick Boseman passed away in August at the age of 43, it came as a shock to fans around the world. His agent announced his death through the actor’s Instagram account. “He died at home with his wife and family by his side.” According to this, Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2016. However, the actor rarely spoke about it in public, but continued to devote himself to his film roles and shot in the breaks between operations and chemotherapy.

XXXTentacion’s last and only post in May 2018 remains number 2 of the most popular Instagram posts. The rapper was mugged and shot two years ago in front of a store in Florida. Four suspects are currently in custody – an appointment for the trial is still pending.

Anyone involved in helping the egg set a world record in 2019 may regret it. Because it is sure to remain the most popular photo on Instagram … forever!
The aim was to break the then record that Kylie Jenner held with 18 million likes. With over 55 million likes, the egg has more than succeeded.
