Apple’s new operating system, iOS 14, will be available from Wednesday evening. Some nice new features were added. We list the most striking here.
A very useful addition are the widgets on the home screen. For example, you can see the weather forecast or the price of your shares at a glance. You choose which widgets are put in the spotlight. You can also add a smart stack of widgets that are selected based on the apps you use most. The correct widget will then automatically appear exactly when you need it.
Finally you can bring all your apps together in one simple overview. They are also divided into categories and you always have the most used ones at your fingertips.

What Android has had for a long time is now also possible with iOS. Are you surfing, calling or reading: you can watch a video at the same time while using another app.
Most important messages at the top
From now on you can pin up to nine of your most important conversations at the top. You can also attach a group photo or an emoji to it.
Just like with WhatsApp, you can mention someone in a group conversation in the message. You can also choose to only receive a notification if your name is mentioned.
New Memoji Styles and Stickers
In addition to new age options and face masks, you can choose from twenty new hairstyles and headgear to suit your hobby, profession or personality.
If you communicate with someone in another language, Apple’s integrated translation app will help you further. Hold your phone horizontally and tap the microphone button to speak. The app then does all the translation work.
In addition, Siri and Safari have been improved a lot, the Home app has received a substantial upgrade and CarPlay supports more backgrounds and apps.
