The Oscars of the airlines. That is what the World Airline Awards of the British consultancy Skytrax are sometimes called. Based on surveys of passengers between September 2019 and July 2021, they announced the top 100 airlines in the world this week. Qatar Airways is leading for the second time in a row. For them it is also the sixth time since the beginning of this century. Singapore Airlines follows in second place and the bronze is for the Japanese ANA All Nippon Airways. Qatar Airways also won five awards in separate categories including Best Business Class and Best Business Class Seat. Singapore Airlines went on to win the prize for the best cabin crew.
A total of 350 airlines were included in the survey.
Our Brussels Airlines is in 69th place. They are doing better than in 2019. Then they were still at 79.
