These Are Five Signs of Your Immunity Will Be Poor Facing Covid19

Corona Virus

MATA INDONESIA, JAKARTA – A good immune system is said to be the most effective factor in dealing with a pandemic Covid19 currently. However, how do we know immunity our bodies are bad?

As reported by Livestrong and quoted by Antaranews, there are at least five things that indicate your immunity is dropping;

1. Diarrhea or constipation
Chronic diarrhea or constipation can be a sign of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The syndrome occurs due to our weak and stressed immune system.

Diarrhea can occur because you eat foods that are high in sugar, refined grains, and trans and saturated fats. All of these foods cause immune dysfunction and disrupt the gut microbiome. So eating more fibrous foods can help.

2. Old Recovering from Sickness or Injury
If we are injured, as revealed by Brian Chow from Tufts Medical Center then your immune system is working. It is characterized by the formation of scabs as white blood cells help fight infection, while red blood cells build new tissue.

If your immune system is weak, the whole process takes longer and extends healing time.

3. Stress
Stress triggers increased inflammation in the body. If it gets more chronic, it can damage the immune system by suppressing the cells that protect our bodies from invaders, according to the Cleveland Clinic. So people who are stressed are more susceptible to infection.

Strengthening your immune system can be done through yoga, taking walks in nature or simply calling friends. Wherever possible, find healthy ways to manage and relieve stress.

4. Frequent ear or sinus infections
If you have more than four ear infections or three sinus infections a year, you may be immunodeficient.

When this happens, Chow recommends seeing an allergy specialist and immunologist to discuss possible treatments.

5. Very tired
One of the causes of fatigue is a weakened immune system. Fatigue can be caused by you having anemia, sleep disorders or sleep apnea, endocrine disorders or other conditions.

When your immune system struggles to be healthy, it can actually make you feel tired, because it requires energy.

So, make sleep a priority. Stick to a regular sleep-wake schedule and keep your room dark, cool, and only for sleeping.
