These 4 whatsapp changes that will transform the way you manage your messages!

The WhatsApp telecommunications app is constantly being updated with improvements and new features, a handful of which were announced in January. Before the international company releases a new update or feature, it is beta tested.

Developments in the new betas are closely followed by WABetaInfo – a community of testers who inform and provide an inside view of upcoming changes in the application.

Some of the recently introduced features include contact blocking, status updates, and alerts.

According to WABetaInfo, here are a handful of changes you can expect for WhatsApp soon:

1. From vibrations to reactions

WhatsApp is currently working on bringing vibes to reactions. With a recent update, WhatsApp allowed users to react with an emoji to a message in a chat – this could now come with vibration feedback.

WABetaInfo said it thinks this feature can be useful in making reactions more interactive.

« In our opinion, this really gives a more tactile experience. Additionally, haptic feedback lets people know their tap was registered correctly, and it can help users with visual impairments understand when they’ve successfully responded to a message. “, said the WhatsApp testers.

2. Block more easily

As part of a new beta update to WhatsApp on Android devices (version 2.23.2.10), WhatsApp was toying with the idea of making it easier to block a number from contacting you.

According to WABetaInfo, the company plans to include three different ways to quickly block someone:

  • First with a shortcut available in the context menu under a chat preview.
  • The second shortcut will still be available in chat options.
  • A third and final shortcut would be a red button that would appear when you receive a message from an unknown contact with no chat history.
  • This feature would also be tested on iOS devices.

3. Statut vocal

In a recent beta, sourced by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp added a new feature that lets you record and share voice notes. These can then be added directly to your status.

These voice note statuses can only last 30 seconds. Just like images and videos shared in statuses, voice notes expire after 24 hours.

4. New text editor

WhatsApp also plans to update drawing tools with a new text editor.

According to WABetaInfo, the application plans to integrate three new features, namely:

  • The ability to quickly switch between different fonts by touching an option above the keyboard.
  • The ability to change text alignment
  • The ability to change the text background color.
