Romania will be hit by a strong heat wave. Temperatures will also be combined with important humidity levels, say meteorologists. Starting with Monday, the thermal values ​​will increase. In Romania, temperatures of over 40 degrees are also announced, and these will target almost the entire country.

Meda Andrei, ANM service meteorologist, explained the weather forecast for the next few days.

“This wave has very high temperatures as well combination of temperatures with humidity. Therefore, starting tomorrow and until the end of this week we will have high temperatures, the humidity temperature index will exceed the critical threshold of 80 units.

Also, we are also talking about the heat wave tomorrow in Banat, Crișana, Oltenia, western Maramureș and southwestern Transylvania and then in the southern and local western regions in the rest of the territory.

If tomorrow the temperatures stop at 36 degrees in the next few days they will exceed 37 degrees and it is possible to reach 39-40 degrees with a higher probability of these values ​​in the southwestern part of the country.

In most parts of the country the temperatures will be above normal at this time, but a more breathable air will be the north of Moldova in eastern Transylvania in the mountainous areas and there the temperatures will stop below 34 degrees and also the discomfort will be somewhat more appropriate not so much accentuated as it will be in some other regions.

Temperatures will be high at night in Banat in Crișana, Oltenia, Muntenia. Especially the day after tomorrow, the temperatures will generally remain above 20 degrees for most of the night. Also, in the western hills the temperatures can be 23-24 degrees. In the north of the coast it will be a bit cooler and in the north of Moldova and Eastern Transylvania with lows of 11-14 degrees.
