There’s an English Premier League midweek, why aren’t Arsenal vs Man City playing?

Premier League will roll again in the middle of the week. But, duel Arsenal-Manchester City which should have been postponed. How come?

The Premier League will enter its 11th week starting with the Brighton vs Nottingham Forest match on Wednesday (19/10/2022) in the early hours of the WIB morning. There are 10 games that should take place.

But, in the end, only nine games were in the running and one was postponed, namely the duel of the first two teams, Arsenal-Manchester City at Emirates Stadium.

It is certain that the English football public will wait for the match because Arsenal and City are two teams on fire. Unfortunately, the duel had to be postponed to another day.

According to the Daily Mail, the Premier League has allowed the postponement of the Arsenal-City match to accommodate another postponed match involving Arsenal in the Europa League.

The Gunners were supposed to host PSV Eindhoven on 15 September in their group stage match, but have been delayed as England are still mourning the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The North London team was asked to complete the postpone match by 3 November at the latest, otherwise they would have been deducted three points by UEFA.

Arsenal then asked for permission to keep the party postponed and the Premier League approved it. The Arsenal vs PSV party will be held at Emirates Stadium, Friday (21/10/2022) in the early morning WIB or Thursday evening, local time.

Arsenal Group A leaders Europa League with nine points, followed by PSV with seven points.
