There will be no free public transport in Riga on any holiday this year – in Latvia – News

During the Riga Festival, from August 14 to August 16, Riga public transport will not be free of charge, but will run according to the holiday schedule, the Public Relations Department of the Riga City Council informed.

This decision was made in order not to encourage additional congestion and to increase the opportunities for distancing on public transport.

For this reason, it has also been decided that free public transport will not be provided on 18 November, 31 December and 1 January 2021. These days, there will be a reduction in fares for holidays, including the possibility for passengers to use monthly tickets purchased for all days of the month.
