Reported by IniPurworejo.com from the official website of the National Aeronautics and Space Institute (EIGHT), for several regions of the Americas, the peak of this eclipse will occur on May 15, 2022.

According to EIGHT, Total lunar eclipse is an astronomical phenomenon when the Moon, Earth and Sun are in a straight line and the Moon enters completely into the shadow of the Earth’s core or umbra.

That way, no sunlight can be reflected onto the surface of the Moon.

Total lunar eclipse tends to be reddish in color due to Rayleigh refraction, the selective refraction of sunlight by the Earth’s atmosphere.
