The wedding, where there was one of the outbreaks of the disease, took place at the beginning of August in the village of Dolní Němčí in the Uherské Hradiště region.

“I married the wedding, but I didn’t have to be tested, the hygienists excluded our workers from the risk group,” said the mayor of the village, František Hajdůch.

According to him, about thirty wedding guests took part in the ceremony. As for the extraordinary measures in the municipality, they have not yet had to be taken, if the regional hygienists order them, the municipality will manage them according to the mayor.

The village of Dolní Němčí, the winner of the national round of the Village of 2018, is to take part in the European round of the competition at the turn of September and October this year.

Infection in the rehabilitation department

After more than a month, the new outbreak of coronavirus infection is being dealt with by the Uherské Hradiště Hospital, this time appearing in the rehabilitation department.

“At the moment, three patients are positive, who showed mild symptoms of the disease on Friday, and then were transferred to the infection department. Ten employees remain in the domestic quarantine, “said Egon Havrlant, a spokesman for hospitals in the Zlín Region.

According to him, the operation in the Uherské Hradiště hospital is uninterrupted and runs in all departments by default, no department of the hospital is closed at the moment.

The admission of new patients to the rehabilitation beds has only stopped and the planned non-acute operations of large joints are postponed for this reason.

“The management of the hospital, in cooperation with the regional hygienists, immediately started tracing and testing more than a hundred other employees, at the moment more than half of them are being tested,” the spokesman added.

“At the moment, we have positive tests on employees in ten cases, all of whom remained in the domestic quarantine. As part of tracing and testing other contacts, we plan to test more than a hundred of our healthcare professionals. At the moment, we already have samples taken from more than half of them, we are moving fast, the tests are going well so far, we will have other results available in the coming days, “Petr Sládek explained.

Veils throughout the complex

The field of the hospital’s statement continues to apply stricter hygiene measures, including the obligation to wear drapes in buildings and in the outdoor area, as well as a ban on visits.

“Once again, we appeal to patients to wear veils throughout the premises, focusing on strict adherence to hand hygiene. We remind you again that if patients have problems such as fever, shortness of breath, loss of smell, cough, intestinal problems, do not come to the hospital and contact their district doctor. We also consider that hospitalized patients will be required to wear a veil when contacting staff. It is not in human power to ensure that an asymptomatic patient who has a covid does not come to the hospital and comes into contact with other patients and staff, “added the director of the Uherské Hradiště Hospital.

After a month again
The covid-19 disease was diagnosed at the Uherské Hradiště Hospital in mid-July this year in the postoperative intensive care unit. One patient and ten paramedics were positive at the time. The hospital management closed the ICU and sent thirty employees to quarantine as a precaution. It also stopped receiving at the internal ICU, where some contacts went. Over 200 employees were tested at that time. The situation gradually calmed down, at the end of July the operation of both workplaces was fully resumed. During the outage, the hospitals in Zlín and Kroměříž took care of patients who needed postoperative intensive care.

To date, regional hygienists in the Zlín Region have a cumulative total of 635 cases of COVID-19, of which 4 deaths and 466 cured persons.
