There are three lessons to be learned from Covid-19

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. At present Indonesia is facing a Covid-19 pandemic. Not only weaken health, but also paralyze the Indonesian economy.

However, Bank Indonesia (BI) Governor Perry Warjiyo sees three lessons to be learned from the existence of Covid-19. One of them, this can bring Indonesia closer to the creator.

“Covid-19 teaches that we must be patient and trust God because God is always close to us,” Perry said, Friday (7/8) via video conference.

In addition, this teaches that Indonesia must be optimistic and hope fully to the creator because in every difficulty, Perry believes that God will surely provide convenience.

Furthermore, the Covid-19 pandemic also opened the eyes of Indonesia if there was a new civilization waiting, namely a digital economic civilization, including digitalization of the economy and Islamic finance.

“Thank God, since 2014 we have continued to strengthen the synergy to build a civilization festival of Islamic economics and ISEF. This is what we do. Every year we hold it, we accelerate it together as a strength in the Indonesian economy.

One of the synergies undertaken to empower the economy and finance of sharia is by building a halal chain (halal value chain) in agriculture, food, beverage, cosmetics, Muslim tourism, Islamic MSMEs, and economic independence in pesantren.

In addition, the central bank will also improve the Islamic economy both in the banking and financial markets. Mobilization of Islamic finance can be by increasing the quality of zakat, infaq, alms and endowments.
