The director of the Romanian Post, Valentin Ştefan, declared on Tuesday, in the Talk News show on Profit News TV, that there are hundreds of people who leave the company every month to retire. He specified that, operationally, for officers, postmen, drivers, the average salary is 1,900 lei, net. He gave an example of success in bonuses, stating that a colleague from Bucharest, who asked to read meters, worked in the evening and on weekends, and managed to earn about 6,000 lei gross.
“At the Post Office we have somewhere the average income in the company, and the basic salary and bonuses and bonuses somewhere at 4,100 lei, on average, gross. It is taxed, it drops well below 4,000 lei. Now, if we look strictly at the operational, at officers, postmen, drivers, the average salary is 1,900 lei, the net salary. Hence the problem with the lack of employees and interest in the company “. said Valentin Stefan.
He pointed out that the problem is not bonuses or incentives, but that you do not have the administrative capacity to check where things are not going.
The director of the Romanian Post also gave an example of bonuses, showing that the Romanian Post reads counters, and the employees earn one leu for each reading, so that there are around 1,000 employees who receive between 300 and 500 lei net.
Valentin Ştefan also gave an example of a big bonus, showing that a colleague from Bucharest, who asked to read meters, worked in the evening and on weekends, and managed to earn about 6,000 lei gross, given that he has a salary somewhere at 2,600 or 2,700 lei.
Regarding the lack of staff, Valentin Ştefan said that “I am in the process of changing generations”.
“There are hundreds of people who leave the company every month to retire. We have to think about bringing people in the company “, he said, pointing out that there is a lack of staff, especially in urban areas, Timisoara, Bucharest, Cluj, Constanta Craiova. “They do not want to work, not at the post office, but on low salaries, this is the structural problem of the company,” said the company’s director, stating that the salaries are the same in urban and rural areas.
