Yesterday, the temperature in most parts of the country rose steadily, and the temperature rise in most of the central and eastern regions was generally around 1 to 3°C.

Today and tomorrow, the warming trend continues in most parts of the south, and the highest temperature in Jiangnan and other places will rise to above 10℃, but the lowest temperature will not rise significantly, and the temperature difference between day and night will widen. For example, in Hangzhou, today the highest temperature is 12°C and the lowest temperature is 0°C. The temperature difference between day and night will reach 12°C.

Due to the weak cold air force, from today to tomorrow morning, the atmospheric diffusion conditions in southern North China, central and western Huanghuai, Fenwei Plain, Yangtze River Delta, Sichuan Basin and other places are normal, with light to moderate haze in some areas and heavy haze in the local area. From the afternoon of the 4th, affected by the cold air, the haze weather in the above areas gradually weakened and dissipated.

After the New Year’s Day holiday, the cold air will become more frequent again. It is expected that from January 4th to 6th and 6th to 8th, there will be two successive waves of cold air affecting our country. Among them, from the 4th to the 6th, affected by the weak cold air, the temperature in the eastern part of Northwest China, North China, Huanghuai, and Jianghuai dropped by 3 to 6°C.

From the 6th to the 8th, the cold air will have a stronger impact. The central and eastern regions will drop by 6~8℃ from north to south, and the local temperature will drop by more than 10℃. The Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that there will be light snow or sleet in parts of Xinjiang’s Yili River Valley and areas along the Tianshan Mountains, central and northwestern parts of Inner Mongolia, and southeastern Qinghai. Among them, there will be moderate to heavy snow in parts of southwestern Tibet.

Tomorrow, there will be light snow or sleet in parts of the western mountainous areas of southern Xinjiang, the southeastern part of the northwestern region, the western and southern parts of Tibet, and the eastern part of Huanghuai. Among them, there will be moderate to heavy snow and local blizzards in parts of southwestern Tibet.
