WThe Corona curve in Hesse had flattened for a long time and seemed to have bottomed out since the beginning of June until it began to rise again in the second half of July. 158 confirmed new infections at the end of last week formed the sad climax. The Hessian health authorities also reported three-digit new Covid-19 cases at the weekend. But now for the second time in a row they have recorded double-digit new infections. This results from the data from the Robert Koch Institute. However, for the Groß-Gerau district there is a noticeable increase from 29 to 43 new cases within seven days and a jump from 32 to 41 for the Main-Kinzig district. This results from the new one Corona-Bulletin des Landes.
The Robert Koch Institute speaks of 78 fresh cases after 34 from the previous day, although the low number is not atypical for a Monday: It is not uncommon for so-called reporting delays due to the weekend. “A few days can pass between the notification by the doctors and laboratories to the health department and the transmission of the cases to the responsible state authorities and the RKI,” says the federal institute.
As can be read on its website, the authorities have recorded no further deaths related to the pandemic. Accordingly, 525 deaths have officially been entrusted since the beginning of the Corona crisis. On the other hand, 11,400 patients are now considered to have recovered. That is 100 more than the days before. From this it follows: For every fatality there are arithmetically 21.7 recovered people, a high value compared to the past few weeks. However, almost 900 infections are not over yet. A few weeks ago there were only about half as many. Since March, the confirmed Covid-19 cases add up to 12,815. Most of them, more than 2050, are in Frankfurt, the fewest in the Vogelsbergkreis with just under 150.
Offenbach was also at the end of the table of infection rates for a long time. However, travelers returning to Frankfurt’s neighboring city have recently seen a noticeable increase. The seven-day incidence, which is important for relaxation, i.e. the new cases below 100,000 inhabitants within a week, climbed to more than 35 in the meantime of gastronomy. Train drivers without mouth and nose protection received fines. The incidence has now fallen below 25. However, only the Waldeck-Frankenberg district can point to a clean slate in the case of new infections over the past seven days and the incidence.
As the RKI further informed the FAZ, it does not officially collect data on the number of people who have recovered. The survey is also not provided for by law. “However, at least in the cases in which most of the information was determined, which did not have any severe symptoms and which were not admitted to a hospital, one can assume that they will have recovered after 14 days at the latest,” it says in Berlin. The RKI estimates the number of those who have recovered.
The Ministry of Social Affairs publishes an overview of the corona development every day, broken down into districts and urban districts. It refers to figures from the RKI. Until a few days ago, it also took into account data from the Hessian State Examination and Investigation Office in the health system at the Gießen Regional Council, to which the health authorities have to report the new cases. In order to ensure consistency, the ministry now only uses the RKI information.
