The Theater Krefeld und Mönchengladbach shows its popular musical gala “The Show Must Go On” in five performances in Heilbronn. The theater in the well-known Käthchenstadt started looking for a suitable musical staging some time ago and asked the local community theater “Otello mustn’t burst”. But the corona pandemic nullified the plans for a guest performance in the 2020/21 season, all projects were initially put on hold.

The music theater team around opera director Andreas Wendholz is all the more pleased that the trip will now take place after all. It is true that “Otello must not burst” cannot be played because the staging does not comply with the current Corona conditions. But you have an excellent Corona solution: “The Show Must Go On”. The singers have chosen well-known songs, duets and ensembles from nine musicals. Together with the newly engaged Kapellmeister Sebastian Engel and the “Live Band” of the Niederrheinische Sinfoniker they bring hits from “Miss Saigon”, “Secret Garden”, “Otello mustn’t burst”, “Jekyll & Hyde”, “Chess” and more .
