The Zoot e-shop started selling clothes through Alza. In the pilot phase, it will offer jackets and pants

The online retailer of fashion and accessories Zoot started selling part of its range through the largest Czech e-shop Alza.cz. Since the merger, it promises to address customers even outside the traditional fashion sphere. From the beginning, customers at Alza will find basic pieces of wardrobes such as T-shirts, trousers and jackets. It offers products of its own brand and several other manufacturers. Gradually, he wants to expand the range.

Around 30,000 items are to be available on Alza. In addition to clothing from the Zoot collection, the offer will also include the Vero Moda, Only or Jack & Jones brands.

“The cooperation is set up in the form of dropshipment. In this business model, Alza acts as a reseller, provides its after-sales service or call center services,” said Petr Ben’s Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Currently, clothing can be ordered with delivery to the address. “Gradually, as with other categories, the options will also be extended to orders with collection at the branches or dispensaries of the Shipyard,” Alza added in his report.

Partner sales have already proven themselves during the first wave of the pandemic, and large e-shops are currently developing it further. Through it, it is possible to buy hundreds of thousands of products on Alza from large suppliers and small ones without their own e-shop. For example, over the retail e-shop Mall.cz sells over 1000 merchants.

In June, Zoot launched an online marketplace where other fashion and cosmetics companies can sell their goods. He decided to help sell out, for example, stocks of stone shops. The company started building a partner network of dispensaries about a year ago, so far it has grown to approximately 130 branches.

The Zoot store is owned by Company New, which is part of the Natland investment group. It was Zoot’s largest creditor, which had failed to finance its operations the year before and was heavily in debt.

In March, the court approved the reorganization plan of the e-shop with the consent of creditors. In the summer, Company New announced the purchase of a minority stake in the fashion e-shop Different. The founder of Different Milan Polák also became a shareholder of Company New and its new executive director, including Zoot.
