The world’s first SLED TV

The Realme brand presented the world’s first SLED 4K TV. Although the technology is still not fully ready, it is already an interesting alternative to QLED displays.

SLED technology is distinguished by a different approach to screen backlight. As standard, LCD devices use white light, which is then passed through RGB filters to create the classic three colors. QLED TVs use blue LEDs for this purpose, and the title quantum dots placed in the filters emit light in various colors.

SLED technology uses red, green and blue LEDs, and controls the amount of light that passes through each pixel. The goal of the solution is not to get any red, green, and blue light, but to create the optimal wavelength for each color. This helps to render a wider color spectrum and improves the overall image quality.

Realme believes this is a much better approach to the problem than QLED. The first TV equipped with this technology is to be the 55-inch model that will debut on the Indian market.
