According to the Prime Minister, the balance of power in the Western world will change by the end of the year.
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said this on Sunday in the Sunday newspaper of Kossuth Radio
The problem is not in the Hungarian industry, but in the commercial challenges, as the main task is to sell our products.
The Prime Minister pointed out that Hungary produces for the world market and therefore the situation on the world market has a direct impact on the expansion or contraction of the customer base.
As he said, the global economy naturally fluctuates, but that can change over time. He added that there have been significant domestic developments in recent years, although if we were unlucky they could come to market in an ups and downs.
Viktor Orbán expressed his hope that the BMW factory will start operations in the near future and that the European economy can also recover when battery production starts and the global economy stabilizes.
“If you can’t buy our products in the West, then buy them in the East – this is necessary to stimulate the economy again.”
– said the Prime Minister, adding that it is necessary to contact Elek Nagy, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as soon as possible, while thanking former President László Parragh for his work.
The Prime Minister explained this
Employers and employees need to agree on wages, and the new head of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK) can help.
The next topic is the employee loan, which can be applied for from January. Three hundred thousand young people are eligible for this HUF 4 million interest-free loan.
Viktor Orbán said that the average wage can be determined by those who work, while the wage level can be judged by those who work in the economy – “not from someone sitting behind a desk.”
He stressed that both workers and factories have legitimate demands and that these must be resolved through wage negotiations and not through advice from politicians who have no real economic experience but still want to tell them what to do. “It makes my hair stand up,” remarked the Prime Minister.
He sees that while the government has a regulatory responsibility, it does not directly control the economy. He added that the reality should not be about what the wage should be, but about who is negotiating the economy.
Hungary wants to support not only young students, but also working young people.
In connection with the work loan, he pointed out that currently about 20,000 students in Hungary have a student loan, adding that the government has helped 50,000 students obtain a degree in recent years.
“But what about those who come from the working class? Although they start work earlier, they also find it difficult to start. We don’t want to support the lazy, but most of them want to work.”
said Viktor Orbán.
The Prime Minister also pointed out that the start of an independent life for young people is being pushed back further and further due to housing difficulties. However, in his opinion, the recently announced support has eased this situation.
He also emphasized that the employee loan will be available to the 17-25 age group and HUF 4 million will help those who start working earlier.
Viktor Orbán sees that the large companies are stable and that industrial production capacities have already been built up. For example, construction companies are strong and Hungarian companies are implementing important projects abroad.
However, for medium-sized companies, the goal is to be able to appear on the international market.
Viktor Orbán explained that smaller businesses are currently struggling to make ends meet, which is why the recently introduced Sándor Demján program aims to support them.
As part of the program, the state invests in the companies through the deposit loan and can use member loans to increase the companies’ performance. “This is a new economic policy initiative,” said the Prime Minister, in his opinion
Growth of 3 to 3.5 percent is expected next year and 2025 could be a banner year from this perspective.
Viktor Orbán said that more than 40 heads of state and government from Western countries will arrive in Budapest next week; there has never been such a large meeting in the Hungarian capital.
However, he described the US presidential election as the most exciting topic. In his opinion, the balance of power in the Western world will change by the end of the year. “The world will change on Tuesday,” he said, indicating that he expects the tide to turn in America and that Donald Trump will become president of the United States again, allowing a pro-peace majority to emerge against migration policies.
Orbán believes that the attacks on the traditional family model will stop and that family policy will come back to the fore. In his opinion, a pro-peace and anti-migrant government will come to power in the USA, which could mean new opportunities for Hungary. “Now we sit in the corner on the hokedlin while the Americans and the Russians sit on the throne,” he said.
He added that
If the expected turnaround actually occurs, Europe cannot continue to support the war.”
