The World Health Organization stated that the number of Coronavirus cases within one day witnessed a new record.
The World Health Organization stated that 307,930 cases were recorded worldwide within 24 hours, according to data published on Sunday evening.
This number is about a thousand more cases than the last daily record high recorded a week ago.
More than 28.6 million cases have been recorded worldwide since the virus outbreak began late last year.
Experts believe that the true number of cases is much higher than the officially announced number.
More than 917,000 people have died from Covid-19, according to WHO statistics. On Sunday, about 5,500 deaths were recorded within 24 hours.
