How to be recognized as a disabled worker?

Recognition of the status of disabled worker (RQTH) allows:

  • to benefit from advantages
  • to find or keep a job.

The status of disabled worker is recognized by the Commission for the Rights and Autonomy of People with Disabilities (CDAPH).

Find all the information to be recognized as a disabled worker.

Good to know: companies with 20 or more employees are subject to an obligation to employ people with disabilities. They must employ workers with disabilities in a proportion of 6% of the total workforce or, failing that, resort to different means of substitution.

Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
People can go to the Departmental Center for Social Action (CDAS) closest to them, to withdraw a compensation request file. CDAS reception staff can also receive their completed and signed file. After checking its admissibility, the CDAS sends the file to the MDPH. More information on the MDPH website

The Ohé Prométhée association

Ahoy Prometheus aims to promote and encourage the employment of people with disabilities in the department of Finistère. It is made up of several departments:

The establishment and work assistance service (ESAT).

And ESAT is an establishment and a work assistance service for people with disabilities.

ESAT workers are in ESAT because they cannot work in an ordinary company due to their disability.

At the employment center, a specialist advisor is there to:

  • help people with disabilities in their job searches through an assessment of professional or general skills,
  • preparatory action for employment,

Job search workshops are offered every week as well as a posting of vacancies reserved for disabled workers.

The Integration Fund for people with disabilities in the public service (FIPHFP)
Brest Métropole has signed an agreement with the Integration Fund for disabled people in the public service (FIPHFP.) The objective is to keep people with disabilities in employment and integrate them into the public service.
