“The work has only just begun”

The Flemish recovery plan is on track: out of the 180 projects selected, 168 have already started (93%), according to a first interim report drawn up by the Flemish government.

This recovery plan, called “Flemish Resilience”, is linked to an extraordinary budget of 4.3 billion euros but also to an increase in ordinary resources in order, among other things, to improve the efficiency of the administration, sustainability of the economy or investing in schools and hospitals.

“The work has only just begun. This plan should lead Flanders towards a positive future and enable it to realize its ambition to be among the best in Europe. The average cannot be our ambition, ”commented the regional minister-president, Jan Jambon, who promised to take stock of the recovery plan three times a year.
