The Colombian Football Federation (FCF) announced this Thursday the cancellation of the concentration that had planned the selection of majors for September in Europe due to the “difficulty in moving players from one country to another” in the middle of covid-19.

The FCF announced in a statement that “Due to the difficulties in bringing the team together due to the global pandemic, it was decided to cancel any type of concentration or camp planned for September.”

Among the FCF’s arguments are the “impossibility of transporting players and / or coaching staff from South America to Europe” and that the FIFA date of September “overlaps the preparation and pre-season period of almost all the players, who have played in totally atypical seasons. ”

He also stated that the leagues and club competitions of the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) are projected to resume or begin in September.
