Today is a party, because CD Projekt Red has announced that a next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming. And it is great that you can upgrade for free.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Developer CD Projekt Red know.
The game will be available as a standalone title and as a free update for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC version owners. The next-gen version features a number of ‘visual and technical’ improvements, including ray tracing and shorter loading times. The technical improvements apply to the main game and both expansions.
Presumably save files for the current version of the game are also compatible with the update, as it is intended to “improve the game when played on next-gen hardware.”
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X sometime next year.
