“The fifth year of the competition shows that both the motorcycle world in Latvia and the inhabitants of this country have an interesting format in which you can learn about the suitability of different models for Latvia. Unfortunately, the peculiarity of Latvia in the results of the competition should be noted – due to the quality of the road surface, it is difficult for a highway motorcycle to hope to win the competition. The winners of the first three places are suitable for crossing uneven roads. Here, either the tender evaluation criteria need to be changed or, at best, the road surface for which we are paying tolls must finally be put in order. Thank you to all the participants for their responsiveness and time, work and enthusiasm. ”

“This year’s competition was a big challenge for the jury – so many different motorcycles, different roads and audiences. It was not easy for the jury to evaluate them, as evidenced by the results of the vote. There was no single clear leader and the results changed with each subsequent voter in both the jury vote and the referendum. This year, the people chose an affordable car suitable for bumps, but the jury looked more at high-end enduro motorcycles. The winner of 2018 definitely corresponds to the situation in Latvia – both in terms of price and opportunities. I am really pleased with the professional work of the jury and the validity of the evaluation, although the off-road theme is starting to dominate. ”
